Art inspired by life on earth…

The Bill Murray show was an enormous success. Thanks to all who came out, waited in the mile long line, and made it in to view the amazing pieces dedicated to Bill.
The news of the event went viral quick. Blogs, news channels, and news papers were all responsible for the enormous amount of hype that ensued. Even the Ghostbusters arrived in their Ecto 1 car from the movie. It was clear this night that everyone loves Bill Murray.

Due the the overwhelming amount of people that didn’t get in, the R&R Gallery has decided to open their doors each night from 6-10pm, including the weekends. So please do yourself a favor and head downtown between now and Sept 30th and see the art.

My piece was inspired by the woman who saw the Virgin Mary toasted into her grilled cheese sandwich. It went on to fetch $28,000 on ebay. My piece is significantly  less expensive.

For those of you unaware of the Movember campaign here is a little background:
Movember challenges men to change their appearance and the face of men’s health by growing a moustache. The rules are simple, start Movember 1st clean-shaven and then grow a moustache for the entire month. The moustache becomes the ribbon for men’s health, the means by which awareness and funds are raised for cancers that affect men. Much like the commitment to run or walk for charity, the men of Movember commit to growing a moustache for 30 days.

I participated in the event last year and it was a great experience. This year I have entered into the T-Shirt design contest. Check it out and cast your vote.

Myself along with many other great artists will be participating in the Bill Murray art show this Friday in LA.
The R&R Gallery has been blowing up the downtown art scene with their previous shows and this one should be even bigger.

Juxtapoz Magazine, Flavor Pill, NBC LA, and the LA Times have covered the event and hopefully the news will reach the man himself.
Mr. Murray has been know to appear at events similar to these.

The past 29 hours have been sleepless to say the least.

- 8 Hours of filming
- 10 hours of editing
- 4 Bottles of red wine
- A pot of coffee, and two talented friends Kevin Zacher and Matt Robinson.

The idea was sparked from an art piece I finished several months ago and I can’t even begin to describe the feelings I felt during this project.
It was an amazing evoke of emotion to take an image from my head, put it onto paper, and then direct it on film. I’m hooked and already preparing for several more art based productions. Stay tuned!

Flavor Pill, an online culture guide, previewed a few of the art pieces that will be presented in Friday’s DANCE MAGIG DANCE show in Downtown LA.

A launch party has been planned for the second series of pillows. If you missed the last one here is your second chance. The venue is downtown in the hip art loft area, a very cool area to come have some dinner, a drink, and fall asleep on some pillows. I hope you see you there!
